In this special series of articles, I will be examining the most peculiar species of creature called galbronauts. These adorable beasts can be found nesting and thriving in various areas of the world - adapting to all but the most inhospitable of climates. By following these educational writings (and that’s what they are), you will get an unparalleled insight into one of nature’s truly fantastical beings. I will begin by investigating the evolution of the galbronauts - starting at the beginning.
Stage One: Galbryo

Galbryos - The multi-celled organisms that will later develop into full-blown galbronauts are spawned from the melancholic tears of sleeping Pyrodactyls who solemnly dream an eternal soliloquy that bemoans their emotional isolation. The bat-winged pseudo-reptiles nest in dry, subterranean hollows that are carved out after generations of throwing small, sun-hardened beans at a cliff wall. The process is incredibly long and laborious, least of all because the beans are collected from a rainforest over 200 miles away and then left to dry in a desert that is almost 400 miles away.
Each tear contains a single galbryo, which hatch when the fluid hits the floor of the cave and come in contact with the silicon contained within the rocks. A newly hatched galbryo is blind, deaf, motionless, devoid of nerve endings and mentally inept but nevertheless possessed of an acute curiosity that is satiated through the interpretation of vibrations that are registered through the motion of their jelly-like brains. Galbronauts feed on information and, even at this early stage in their development, they sought this form of nourishment despite the unfair hand dealt by Mother Nature.
